YM Raja Dato' Idris Raja Kamarudin
Chairman of the Board of Directors, Chairman of Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor, Bhd.
YM Raja Dato' Idris Raja Kamarudin, a British citizen, holds the position of Executive Consultant at the Chief Minister Office (Menteri Besar Incorporated or MBI) in the State of Selangor, Malaysia. He advises the Honourable Chief Minister on Corporate Strategies and Policies.

Raja Dato' Idris currently sits on the board of Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Berhad -(KDEB) the investment holding company of the State of Selangor.

He also serves as Chairman in the following State owned companies:
  • Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad - a public listed subsidiary of KDEB, involved in a diverse range of investments.
  • Kumpulan Hartanah Selangor Berhad (KHSB)- a public listed subsidiary of KDEB, involved in property development.
  • Central Spectrum Sdn Bhd - a subsidiary of KHSB, involved in the development of industrial properties and the Selangor Halal Hub on an island to the west of Selangor, which also houses the West Port of Malaysia.
Raja Dato' Idris is a member of the Institute of Financial Services (formerly the Chartered Institute of Bankers), UK and a member of the British Computer Society (formerly the Institute for the Management of Information Systems) of the UK. Raja Dato' Idris is also a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute of the UK.

Abdul Latib Tokimin
Mr. Abdul Latib started his career with Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) in 1982 as a Communications Engineer and was responsible for various engineering practices in operations and the maintenance of the telecommunications network, as well as R&D and Training. In 1997, he was seconded to Ghana Telecom as Chief Marketing Officer, responsible for Marketing and Regional Operations. Apart from that, he has wide experience with TM in Corporate Customer Service, Marketing and Sales. He was the Vice President of Network Operations from June 2005 till February 2009 and the Vice President for the Center of Excellence until June 2011. He moved on from TM to be a consultant to Televenture Global Network for the Batam-Mersing submarine cable system and was in charge of developing the business plan and technical planning.

In January 2012, Mr. Abdul Latib joined BT TelConsult, London as Consultant for a broadband project in Indonesia. In July 2013, he was engaged by IDATE, Montpellier for the Iranian National broadband project. In both projects, he was responsible for recommending high-level technical solutions architecture, network dimensioning of the International, Inter-cities IP Core, Intra-city Metro Rings and Access GPON, and was responsible for the implementation plan that included the network organisation’s structure, high-level processes, key functionalities and cross-domain KPIs.

Mr. Abdul Latib possesses a strong ability to assess and take advantage of business opportunities. He has high-level motivation and is emotionally engaged in striving to meet organisational targets. Motivating the team is what he does best. His extroverted and warm personality makes him easy to mingle with. His inquisitive mind and highly creative thinking has made him a great problem solver. His team work is excellent and he is always looking for synergy within the units and organisation. He is also a great believer of Covey’s `Win-win’ habit.

Mr. Abdul Latib holds an MBA from Henley Management College, London and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Huddersfield University, England.

Haji Azlan bin Md Alifiah
General Manager of Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor ("PKNS")
Haji Azlan bin Md Alifiah is the General Manager of Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor (‘PKNS”) since 23 January 2014.

Haji Azlan is a Chartered Accountant (Malaysia). He graduated from University Teknologi MARA and holds a professional qualification from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountant (CIMA, UK). He has 22 years of hands-on experience and exposure in the business and financial operations and day-to-day activities in Finance & Accounts, Investments, insurances, Risk Management and Corporate Governance functions either at Group level or at the Strategic Business Unit levels.

Haji Azlan started his career with Petronas Carigali as a Management Account Executive from 1992 – 1993. He joined KPFB Holdings Sdn Bhd as an Accountant in 1993 and was the Head/Senior Manager of Finance at Celcom from 1994 to 2000.

Haji Azlan has held held various senior management positions in the financial and telecommunications industry, including Head of Risk, Syariah and Governance with Prudential BSN Takaful Berhad until 2011 and also Vice President of Risk Strategy and Head of Risk Management with Etiqa Insurance & Takaful and Malaysia National Insurance Berhad from 2003 to 2010. From 2000 to 2003, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Kumpulan Medi Iman Sdn Bhd and also a Director of A&W Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand under the same organisation, TDM Group. During his tenure at Kumpulan Medi Iman Sdn Bhd, he was involved in its turnaround management and in the sale of A&W (M) Group to KUB Malaysia Bhd.

In June 2011, Haji Azlan was appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Berhad (“KDEB”), the investment arm of the Selangor Government. He was instrumental in the corporate exercise and privatisation of Kumpulan Hartanah Selangor Bhd, duly completed by the end of 2013. He was also instrumental as part of the management team to turnaround KDEB Group’s Investments and performances. His experience also encompassed business turnaround management, corporate finance and business and financial restructuring exercises.

Hisham Mohamed Ali Al Alawi
Investment Manager
Investment Manager in Al Farqad Development & Investment LLC a family owned Real estate & investment company; Has Masters degree in Marketing Practice (MA) and Bachelors Degree in Business Administration (BABA) both from UK. Joined Oman Oil Company SAOC (Capital USD 2.8b) the government energy investment arm in January 2003 as the first Marketing Analyst of the company.

There, with the acquisition of BP Oman, he took the leading role in coordinating and handling the changes in the organization from BP Oman SAOG to the new identity of “omanoil” and later took the position of Corporate Affairs Manager once Oman Oil Marketing Company SAOG was created (Capital USD $16.75m & turnover of over USD $100m).

Further, Hisham is also the Deputy Chairman of National Securities SAOG, Board member of National Gas Co. SAOG, Founder & Board Member of Connect Arabia LLC (FRiENDi Mobile) the third mobile service provider in Oman and Board Member of CERES Telecom SDN. BHD. Malaysia.

Mikkel Vinter
Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Virgin Mobile MEA
Mikkel is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Virgin Mobile Middle East & Africa, with close to 20 years of telecommunications experience and knowledge. Mikkel has a proven track record in successfully building mobile operators from the initial license phase through to thriving and profitable businesses.

Mikkel has a strong ambition and commitment to ensure that Virgin Mobile Middle East & Africa further extends its position as the leading MVNO/MVNE player in the region.

Mikkel began his career in management consulting working across a diverse range of telecommunication projects across Europe, Asia and Africa.

Following this, Mikkel progressed rapidly through the ranks of both established and start-up telecom operators including Ben Netherlands, Singapore Telecom and TDC. Prior to setting up Virgin Mobile Middle East & Africa, Mikkel was the Chief Commercial Officer for Nawras in Oman leading all the commercial activities from before the launch until the company was successfully established with a 20%-plus market share just 12 months post launch.

Currently settled in Dubai, UAE, Mikkel is married with three children and when he is not travelling, Mikkel enjoys a spot of sailing and running.

Mikkel qualified with a Masters degree in Economics and Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School, and has completed a marketing and management programs from McGill University and INSEAD.

Erik Dudman Nielsen
Co-Founder & Chief Business Development Officer of Virgin Mobile MEA
Erik holds the position of co-founder and Chief Business Development Officer with focus on developing new business opportunities and nurture the relationship with our JV partners across the region. From the formation of Virgin Mobile Middle East & Africa in July 2006 until early 2011, he held the position of Chief Financial Officer responsible for all the financial activities of the company including debt & equity fundraising at a local and global level.

He brings with him 19 years extensive experience within telecommunications, servicing mobile customers across the globe, thereby achieving a solid record of business experience together with an in-depth understanding of financial requirements and behaviour in the mobile sector.

During his career, Erik has held many senior positions across several different countries in Europe working with both frequency based and MVNO based Greenfield mobile companies as well as traditional telecommunications companies offering both fixed and mobile services.

Prior to Virgin Mobile Middle East & Africa, Erik was Chief Executive Officer of Realtime, a global VAS provider, where he successfully managed a turnaround of the business and developed a strong growth strategy for the company in the markets of Europe, South America and Middle East.

Between 2000 and 2003, Erik was the Chief Financial Officer of a Telco Corporate Venture fund which gave him valuable insights to the world of fundraising and making agreements amongst shareholders.Erik graduated with a Masters degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Aarhus, in 1994. Married and living in Dubai with 3 children. Erik is an enthusiastic amateur golfer and he also enjoys spending time with his family and visiting new places in the region.

Antti Kalevi Arponen
Group Chief Operating Officer of Virgin Mobile MEA
Antti joined VMMEA in 2008 as the CEO for Oman. Currently Antti is working as the group Chief Operating Officer, responsible for all operating companies in Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Malaysia, Oman and Jordan with the Country CEOs reporting to Antti.

Prior to Virgin, Antti has managed various telecom operations in Europe, started mobile services for Yahoo! and held various marketing, strategy and venture capital roles within the European/Eurasian TeliaSonera group. Antti has also worked as a military trainer in the Finnish Defence for Forces, but that didn’t really work because Antti isn’t the guy who settles down on the defensives side.

Antti is a Finnish citizen holding a Masters in Finance from Helsinki School of Economics.

Michael Klindt
VP Program Management of Virgin Mobile MEA
Michael joined Virgin Mobile Middle East & Africa in December 2009 as head of Programme Management. Michael has since been responsible for setting up and launching the Group’s MVNO’s in Jordan, Saudi Arabia and latest Malaysia under the FRiENDi mobile brand.

Michael has more than 16 years of experience in Mobile Telecommunications from various companies in several countries. Vast experience in setting up and managing new MVNO’s, managing different commercial departments as well as heading strategic projects in Europe, the Middle East and South East Asia. A professional with proven track record of reaching results in various companies and countries with such different cultures as Lithuania, Norway, Jordan, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, Denmark, UAE, Yemen and Malaysia.

Michael graduated with a diploma in Business Administration, majoring in Marketing Management from Aalborg University in Denmark.

Job description
  • You will be responsible for building and managing an efficient Point of Sales portfolio within the respective regions.
  • You will be responsible for servicing all Point of Sales and conducting training activities for the company.
  • Responsible for managing assigned Point of Sales portfolio in a given geographical area

  • You will be exposed to all accounting operational activities, including general ledger preparation and financial reporting.
  • Assist in day-to-day operations and activities in the finance department.
  • Manage and prepare a full set of accounts, including monthly reconciliations and management reports.
  • Ensure that the monthly financial statements are accurately prepared on time and adhere to appropriate accounting standards.
  • Preparing and monitoring cash flows and banking facilities as well as performing bank reconciliations.

Accountant –

Job description
  • You will responsible for all accounting activities, including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.
  • You will also play a key role in GST implementation while providing tax planning, advisory and issues resolutions. This includes statutory matters, financial reporting, drafting of audited financial statements and accounts.
  • You will work closely with external services providers (auditors, tax consultants and tax authorities) in statutory and tax disclosures.
  • You will also support management team to ensure internal controls are in place.
  • Provide monthly and yearly financial information to Finance Director by analysing accounting data and preparing financial reports.
  • Summarise current financial status by collecting information; preparing of reconciliations balance sheet, profit and loss statements and other reports.
  • Extensive involvement in verification of invoices from core vendors and taking appropriate actions as per the vendor contracts when there are disputes on vendor invoices.
  • Proactively update a daily operational performance report and keep management informed about business conditions and actual results derived from forecast.
  • Carry out a profitability analysis of different products, services and brands.
  • Working closely with the Sales Support staff to accurately compute the Distributor and Dealer commissions, verification and pay-out by the agreed timelines.
  • Weekly monitoring of IDD traffic costs and alerting the management when the cost deviates from the tolerance levels.
  • This position will also carries the additional responsibility of Warehousing Coordinator, who will be primarily responsible coordinating stocks in, out and with Sales Support staff to process sales orders (the warehousing function is completely outsourced).
  • Actively involved in the implementation and reviewing of GST collections and refunds and the implications arising from various business transactions and process.
  • Responsible in the preparation/reviewing of monthly or quarterly GST returns, including supporting documents.
  • Provide advice on the applicable GST treatment(s)/implication(s) prior to signing contracts/agreements.
  • GST consulting on proposed business and sales arrangements.
  • Dealing with the Royal Customs and Excise Department on queries, clarifications and concurrence.
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or at least a professional qualification in ACCA/CIMA/CPA or the equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3–6 years of relevant working experience in a similar position is preferable.
  • Should possess strong experience in tax background and GST implementation.
  • Well versed in accounting standards and knowledgeable about MFRS and IFRS.
  • Experience in corporate tax and withholding tax would be an advantage.
  • Experience within the telecommunication industry and a good understanding of revenue accounting would be an advantage.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Able to work well under pressure and able to meet deadlines.
  • High integrity, independent with good interpersonal communication skills.
